Caino is an Italian municipality of about 2,100 inhabitants located about 12 km from Brescia. The town lies on the bank of the Garza river, to the north of the valley of the same name, which includes the villages of Nave and Bovezzo. The area evokes fascinating alpine landscapes and offers points of interest for those who are not yet familiar with it. The pearl that contributes to creating the remarkable landscape atmosphere is Val Bertone, an enchanted valley filled with conifers. There are many churches and sanctuaries rich in history and art, worth noting is the Church of San Zenone and the Sanctuary of Santa Maria Addolorata. Furthermore, Caino is well known for being one of the three municipalities of Valle del Garza that hosts the annual Sagra del Marrone della Valle del Garza (Chestnut Festival of the Garza Valley). This festival allows visitors to discover and savour the unique qualities of the local chestnuts through a journey of food and wine, tours and shows.
