Sanctuary of San Rocco

The Sanctuary of San Rocco is a small church that owes its current appearance to numerous embellishments. The sanctuary is easy to reach thanks to an easy path that starts from the churchyard of the parish church of San Zenone. The building stands on a natural promontory dominating the entire basin and was built during the plague of the 16th century. It was then renovated in the first half of the 17th century during a second plague, which was remembered as Manzoni’s plague.
