Lago d’Iseo e Valle Trompia by bike
For experienced and tenacious cyclists
This itinerary is for experienced and tenacious cyclists. In addition to the long distance and difference in altitude, it features steep climbs with significant slopes (often over 10%) located within the portion of territory between Lake Iseo and Valle Trompia.
The route starts at the Prealpino train station car park and the first climbs are located in Valle Trompia, across all of Caregno.
Once you have reached Caregno, you will not be able to continue with your dirt bike and will have to retrace your steps. You will then have to ride back up the Valley, with a few “surprise” climbs, and then tackle the long uphill slope from the hamlet of Lavone to Colle di San Zeno, the highest point of the route, with offers a beautiful 360-degree view.
After taking a break to recharge your batteries, head towards Lake Iseo where you will pedal for about 15 km on flat terrain before arriving at the last climb that will allow you to go back down the hill into Valle Trompia and reach the starting point.
