Giancola&#8221; Ethnographic Museum in Collio consists of a collection of about <strong>1300 different types of objects<\/strong> that mostly belonged to Doctor <strong>Claudio Giancola<\/strong>, a native of Collio. Divided by type, visitors can admire objects from the <strong>peasant era<\/strong> such as wooden butter churns and moulds, wrought-iron sheep shearing scissors forged in one piece, valuable objects from wealthy and well-to-do families, the very particular and impressive chains (rack) in engraved wrought-iron, antique locks, keys from the 17th century, everyday objects and objects dedicated to the sacred. Various iron tools and small works of art were kept in the doctor&#8217;s Turin home for years, constituting a real private museum. After he died in 2014, the family, in agreement with representatives of the Collio section of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anabrescia.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ANA Group<\/a> of Brescia &#8211; Giovanni and Michele Cometti &#8211; and with the patronage of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comune.collio.bs.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Municipality of Collio<\/a>, catalogued and set up the collection in a permanent exhibition located in the <strong>late 19th-century building<\/strong>, next to the tennis area. Over the years, the Ethnographic Museum of Collio has been enriched with additional items belonging to local families, such as the splendid <strong>17th-century loom<\/strong> from the hamlet of Ivino. The museum, <strong>inaugurated in 2020<\/strong>, has been a stage along the &#8220;Via del Bosco&#8221; of the Ecomuseum of Valle Trompia since 2021 and is part of the Museum System of the Comunit\u00e0 Montana di Valle Trompia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The &#8220;C.
