Via Ferrata Nasego

Ferrata with a view over Valle Trompia and Garda

Are you ready to venture along the Nasego via ferrata to the Corna di Savallo?

The starting point of this itinerary is Comero di Casto (near Lodrino). Following the signs for the Nasego refuge, take a narrow road that leads to a large car park with a canopy, where there are signs for the via ferrata. From here, it is only a 20-minute walk at an altitude of 1020 m.

The ferrata is divided into five distinct sections joined by sections of a grassy path which can become slippery when wet, so take care. The via ferrata is classified as moderately difficult, with some sections along the path to be considered difficult. In general, it is characterised by many holds and pegs. This via ferrata is mainly along a dirt path, with comfortable rest points, some unstable steps and rocky ledges. It develops in a beautiful rocky environment and, given its exposure, is practicable almost all year round.

At the summit of Corna di Savallo (1436 m), you can finally enjoy a beautiful panorama of the mountains of Valle Trompia and Garda.

To return from the summit, follow the path that, in 15 minutes, arrives at the Nasego Refuge, where several different paths will take you back down to the car park.
