Planetarium and Museum of the Constellations

At Lumezzane’s Planetarium and Museum of the Constellations, it is possible to study and discover the most beautiful stars and constellations under a large dome of 6 metres in diameter designed by our ancestors. Visitors can relax in the half-light and be lulled by engaging explanations and recited readings. This experience is made possible by the commitment of the Unione Astrofili Bresciani (Brescian Amateur Astronomers Union) in the Planetarium of Lumezzane, which is open every day by appointment for groups and school classes. However, if you prefer the outdoors, the Museum offers the opportunity to admire the starry sky with your own eyes thanks to the telescope mounted on Colle San Bernardo in Lumezzane Pieve, home of the Astronomy Observatory. Open every Saturday from May to September (except the last Saturday of the month); the observatory is an excellent place for the whole family to enjoy. The events occur as follows: at 9 p.m., there is an informative talk by amateur astronomers, while the telescope observations begin at 10 p.m. The area also hosts temporary exhibitions and themed evenings.
